Default WWE Wrestler 'Kane' Body Slams the Internet Sales Tax

It's not just online shoppers and Internet-based businesses who hate the proposed legislation for an Internet Sales Tax. WWE's "Kane," known in the wrestling world for his violent pyromania, has penned an angry screed against the Marketplace Fairness Act, new legislation that would allow states to require Internet retailers to collect sales tax on all purchases.

The Senate is expected to vote on the legislation as early as Monday evening.

"Control freak politicians never rest, and a few of the more dedicated ones are working relentlessly to slap chains on the world's most unfettered market," Glenn Jacobs a.k.a Kane, wrote on the libertarian web site LewRockwell.com. "The Marketplace Fairness Act will end up forcing consumers to pay higher prices for the goods they desire. It will limit consumer choice ... [And] it will put shackles on one of the economy's fastest growing sectors, Internet commerce."

Jacobs should know something about shackles – he's previously jumped in the ring covered in chains and manacles, though he is better known for a get-up that includes a blood-red mask, leather gloves and full-length body suit.

The Spanish-born American wrestler is also politically active. He pens a libertarian political blog called "Adventures of Citizen X," previously supported former Texas congressman Ron Paul for president, and has said he might run for office "at some point."

I love how intelligent Kane actually is.
