During a special half-hour Call of Duty: Ghosts showcase on Sunday, Activision and Infinity Ward unearthed new gameplay footage of the game.

In a purported "live broadcast", the long-serving Infinity Ward producer Mark Rubin revealed that the game's protagonist dog is named Riley, before showcasing a level where players take control of the stealth-attacking canine.

Riley can burst at speed and seize enemies, in turn making them open targets as the viewpoint switches to the traditional infantryman.

Another video showcased Ghosts' cinematic flair, with players controlling deep-sea divers who navigate coral reefs.
