'Angry Sea' Campaign Gameplay

Battlefield 4 commander confirmed, 64 players on Xbox One Commander feature returns to the game, and next gen consoles are getting 64-player multiplayer

DICE has confirmed the Battlefield 4 Commander feature via the official game page. Additionally, it’s revealed that the Xbox one version will support 64 players in multiplayer. The PlayStation 4 version will likely also support 64 players, as PS4 hardware is somewhat more powerful than the Xbox One.

During Microsoft’s E3 press event, DICE showcased the game and unveiled yet another Battlefield 4 DLC: Second Assault. The new DLC will be a timed-exclusive on the Xbox One.

It’s great to see that next-gen consoles will be getting an upgrade when it comes to multiplayer, as 64 players is quite a step up from the 24 player limit on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Be sure to also check out the latest screenshots and gameplay video released earlier today.
