UFC president Dana White told UFC Central's Joe Ferraro on Tuesday that plans are in the beginning stages for a Georges St-Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks UFC welterweight title fight in October.
Early rumors had GSP-Hendricks possibly going down from Toronto in September, but the UFC has previously stated a desire to bring St-Pierre to Las Vegas for a fight.

Hendricks has been the No. 1 contender for quite some time now after defeating Martin Kampmann. However, St-Pierre first fought Carlos Condit to unify the belts before asking for - and receiving - Nick Diaz.

St-Pierre actually hasn't fought in Las Vegas since a 2009 decision over Thiago Alves. Four of his last five matches have been held in Canada, with the other going down in New Jersey.
