With less than 10 days until RFA 8, the main event has been changed. Personal reasons have pushed Jeff Curran off the card and Dillard Pegg steps in on short notice against Sergio Pettis for the inaugural flyweight championship.
"It's unfortunate that Jeff Curran had to pull out of the fight on short notice, but this happens, even at the highest levels of MMA," said RFA president Ed Soares. "As an organization that models itself after the UFC, we had to move forward and find a worthy replacement to give the fans an exciting title fight that is just as compelling as the original bout."

After about two years as an amateur, Pegg turned pro and is 2-1. Both wins came in the first round.

Pettis is undefeated with seven wins and has appeared once for RFA in the past. He is the younger brother of the UFC's featherweight No. 1 contender Anthony Pettis.

RFA 8 is Friday, June 21. It comes out of The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI and airs on AXS TV at 10 p.m. ET.
