TNA Impact News & Notes 6/17

- Impact opened with an "In Memory" of Dusty Rhodes. A video package included clips from Dusty's TV role in the early days of TNA a decade ago.

- The main focus of the show was the TNA Title contract signing between Kurt Angle and Ethan Carter III for their title match on the July 1 Impact.

ECIII then "beat" Angle's hand-picked opponent, Bobby Lashley, after several ref bumps and interference from Tyrus. TNA presented Lashley in an over-booked match trying to protect him in defeat the week of Lashley returning to MMA fighting for Bellator.

- TNA did not present Match #4 of the Tag Title series between The Wolves and Bobby Roode & Austin Aries. Instead, Eddie Edwards beat Roode in a singles match to set up a Full Metal Mayhem match in Match #4 of the series next week on Impact. The Wolves are currently leading 2-1.

- Joseph Park (Abyss's alter-ego) returned to TV to lose to Bram, who beat Crimson last week as part of a series beating former roster members.

- Match Results: (1) Eddie Edwards (w/Davey Richards) beat Bobby Roode. ... (2) Bram beat Joseph Park in a hardcore match. ...
