With the top two fights at tomorrow’s UFC card in Dublin off due to injuries just days before the event due to injuries, it seems as if a lot of fans have lost interest in it. Yes, the crowd should be great and there are good action fights up and down the card, but the event now known as UFC Fight Night: Holohan vs. Smolka has less star power than just about any card in UFC history. Someone needed to get the mixed martial arts community at large excited about the card, and it looks like Norman Parke decided to step up at today’s weigh-ins.

His opponent, Reza Madadi, is returning from a prison sentence for robbing a designer women’s handbag store of about $150,000 worth of merchandise. Madadi spent 14 months and prison and hasn’t fought in 30 months, so it’s obviously a raw nerve. Parke decided to exploit Madadi’s emotions by throwing a pink purse at him, and the plan succeeded:

Single best thing Norman Parke has done in the UFC so far. This fight will be intense tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/kJ4f6hQ2n5

Parke vs. Madadi is the co-main event tomorrow for the card, which airs on UFC Fight Pass.
