IPW:UK TELEVISION ON THE WRESTLING CHANNEL - THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, 11PM, LATE NIGHT UNCENSORED!

On IPW:UK TV episode four, you will find:-

Battalion in singles action

Making his IPW:UK TV debut, we give to you – Battalion. An east London hard-man with a monster physique, Battalion is about as all business as you can get. And with some impressive wins under his belt including the likes of Jonny Storm & Jody Fleisch, as well as Andy Boy Simmonz and Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith (all in tag action), Battalion made the move into singles competition in 2006.

Tonight, he takes on another IPW:UK TV debutant, Tommy Shaman. Shaman, one of England’s finest mat wrestlers, was given the opportunity to show off his skills against an opponent of his choice. Unfortunately for Shaman, he left the door wide open. Enter, Battalion.

Fact: Up to this bout, Battalion has never pinned or submitted, and his only losses come in tag or multi-man matches where his partner/other opponent has taken the fall.
Fact: Battalion was not originally booked for this show – he turned up unannounced off the street.

Singles Action: Dragon Phoenix vs. Aviv Maayan

As well as being one half of the popular ‘Dragon Hearts’ tag team; Dragon Phoenix is also a very competent singles wrestler. Having spent a large portion of 2005 training at the New Japan dojo in America, Phoenix’s offence certainly reflects this. His recent tag success however, did not stop him accepting the challenge of Aviv Maayan.

Maayan, the only other former IPW:UK Champion (aside from current and reigning, Martin Stone) was on the slippery slide down and out of IPW:UK, but last week during the Andy Boy Simmonz vs. Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith match, Maayan made his presence felt by aligning himself with Andy Boy, dropkicking Harry Smith behind the referees back and handing the victory to Simmonz. Having turned his back on the fans, Maayan is now out to start demolishing their Heroes, now that he’s Hated.

Fact: Aviv Maayan made his IPW:UK debut in November 2004. Dragon Phoenix debuted in January 2005.

IPW:UK Tag Title Match: The Untouchables (c) vs. AK47

The Untouchables are ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm, ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Moralez, ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone and ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm. Tonight, Matthew, we will see the pairing of Jack Storm & Dave Moralez, the Tag champions, take on AK47 – Ashe and Kris Linnell. Since they were involved in multi-man action back in March, this match (filmed in April 2006) was actually their first official title defence.

AK47 had been the first ever IPW:UK Tag Champions, and ruled the roost for the second half of 2005, before running into trouble in the form of The Untouchables in February 2006. With the rematch clause invoked, tonight we see if first time’s a charm for Ashe and Kris Linnell.

Fact: An AK47 is actually not only obviously a gun, but is also a meshing of the two wrestlers names (Ashe, Kris), and also their ages at the time the team formed (47… we won’t specifiy).

And much more, as well as full information on what you can see next week (first airdate Friday October 6th) on IPW:UK TV.
