The following the conclusion of “Destiny 2015”, NOAH is now heading into the new year with some big title matches announced for the first big show on January 31st, “GREAT VOYAGE 2016 in YOKOHAMA”.

All four of the GHC titles have been announced to be defended on the show as well as some other key matches.

The main event of the show will feature the newly crowned GHC Heavyweight Champion taking on the Takashi Sugiura. This match is coming about after Marufuji won the belt at Destiny and was then stabbed in the back by who he thought to be his strongest ally in Sugiura. Sugiura has defected to Suzuki-gun after the months of Suzuki vying to see NOAH’s end. Of course that chapter was written out after Destiny, but the “NOAH vs Suzuki-gun” war doesn’t appear to be over anytime soon.

A special singles match has been booked for the show as freelancer Go Shiozaki takes on the leader of Suzuki-gun in Minoru Suzuki. Shiozaki has stated that he does seek to be aligned with NOAH once more, but it also ever-looking to prove himself as a force for NOAH. Shiozaki seeks the approval of Marufuji, which he had not received even after making the save after Sugiura turned, and will compete is his biggest match yet since his NOAH return.

The GHC Tag belts will be in defense as the dominating tag team of “Killer Elite Squad” Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr. take on the team of Muhammad Yone and Katsuhiko Nakajima. Nakajima formally announced that he wants to be apart of NOAH once and for all, after years of being in Kensuke Office/DIAMOND RING, and seeks to bring those belts back home from the invaders once and for all like the rest of them.

Taiji Ishimori finally brought the GHC Jr. belt back home from Taichi and will be taking on Kenoh in his first defense. Kenoh of course managed to overcome his closest ally in Hajime Ohara to earn this opportunity.

Then the GHC Jr. Tag belts will be in defense as Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada take on the team of TAKA Michinoku & Taichi. Kotoge & Harada were the first to reclaim belts from Suzuki-gun, but now they are facing the team that has proven successful in the past as “TAKA-Taichi” have been former IWGP Jr. Tag Champions.
