I found this editorial by Jon Fisher,...he hit's the nail on the head.

At WrestleMania 30, the planned main event was Batista and Randy Orton for the WWE championship. Batista was going to work face, while Orton remain the heel. CM Punk left the company, the WWE Universe voiced their opinion and Daniel Bryan defeated three-fourths of Evolution to win the title.

On the way to WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns was the man to beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship. WWE fans voiced their displeasure once again and Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the championship. The last two years worked out well for wrestling fans.

This year, it doesn’t seem like they will go three-for-three.

Last night on Monday Night Raw painted a different picture than most were expecting. Most thought Reigns and Lesnar would play tug-of-war with the belt again. Instead, Reigns speared Lesnar twice, the League of Nations got tossed around by Lesnar and the Wyatt Family came in and cleaned house.

It was at that moment, that WWE fans were baffled.

Why would WWE officials have Wyatt stand tall at their go-home show, when they’re lacking momentum? To be completely fair, their biggest win was against the Dudley Boyz. Unfortunately, their stock wasn’t nearly as high as it was during their debut. Without attempting to be pessimistic, the WWE will go with what they had planned weeks ago.

Triple H and Roman Reigns will walk out of the Royal Rumble as WWE World Heavyweight champion and feud until their main event clash at WrestleMania 32. That’s what the decision-makers are going with and until the WWE Universe voices their displeasure again, nothing will change.

Like it was mentioned earlier, that may not work this time around. Does that atmosphere not feel different than it has in past years?

Perhaps it’s the injuries that piled up at the absolute wrong times. Seth Rollins and Cesaro were rumored to be staples of WrestleMania season until bad luck struck the WWE. Bryan still hasn’t returned from the injury he sustained at WrestleMania 31.

People, myself included, complain about why young talent isn’t getting used properly in these instances. Especially when injuries happen, that’s the perfect time to get new guys over. The problem is, they are relying on old talent to get their ratings to go up.

There’s a good reason why Triple H is still wrestling that one match and why the WWE tried to get Shawn Michaels to return at the Royal Rumble.

Vince Russo put it perfectly by stating that they simply can’t get their own guys over.

“They can’t get guys on their own roster over. You think these guys from New Japan are going to walk in and be over? You can’t get over on wrestling matches alone. Some of the greatest ring technicians in the business never got over, because they were missing the character,” Russo said.

Even though Russo isn’t universally-liked by the WWE fanbase, he’s absolutely right. New Japan Pro Wrestling’s guys coming into the WWE is a column for another day.

The ending of Monday Night Raw will either lead to something great for Wyatt and his followers, or amount to nothing. Is he slated to surprise everyone and win the Royal Rumble match? If so, then they planned it perfectly.

There are reports that Wyatt and Lesnar are heading for a match at WrestleMania. Have the Eater of Worlds cost Lesnar the championship at the Rumble and build a long-term feud that culminates in big match. Wyatt must go over, by the way.

WWE fans just want new talent, new storylines, a new direction and fresh content. The current program with Becky Lynch and Charlotte is a grande example. It’s the best storyline on WWE television because of how simple it truly is.

A distinct heel and face are present. Lynch is the babyface chasing the title, while Charlotte is the cowardly heel who cheats to win. Two-straight weeks had Lynch cut great promos and solidify her nice winning streak. If WWE officials want Lynch to win the belt, the Royal Rumble would be a great time to do so.

Capitalize on her momentum and Charlotte can use her rematch clause at WrestleMania 32, where Sasha Banks could get involved.

The WWE needs a simple, but effective outlook moving forward.

Do you want to know why NXT is so successful right now? They’re doing what the WWE isn’t. NXT is simple and effective.
