Angry Miesha Tate On Ronda Rousey: “She’s A Broken Woman”

    Let the shots fly!

Now that Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate would appear to be the next UFC Women’s Bantamweight title fight on the horizon, the shots are starting to fly out of camp Tate.

The new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion spoke with FOX Sports following her inspirational victory over former champion Holly Holm at UFC 196 this past weekend.

During the discussion, Tate commented on what she feels is a “broken woman” — former champ Rousey.

“What about Ronda’s mentality? I think Ronda is beating herself up over this. She’s obviously said that she’s so emotional to the point where she’s considering crazy things and it’s like this is a broken woman,”

“I don’t know if she’ll ever come back the same, but I have proven I can come back from adversity and I do come back and I will come back and there’s no one in this sport that can break me. I have the strongest mindset of anybody in there and I don’t know where Ronda’s at with her mindset, but I have to wonder is she ever going to come back the same?”

Additionally, “Cupcake” Tate explained why she feels she proved in her fight with Holm that her striking has improved, something she also feels could play a big factor in her trilogy bout with “Rowdy” Ronda, especially after seeing the success Holm had in the striking department with her.

“Look how much my striking improved. From that fight I fought Ronda, I still kind of had wild, kind of swinging hooks and I let Ronda come right into that clinch so wide and open and really nothing down the middle and I really think since I’ve been in Vegas and I’ve been working with my striking coach Jimmy Gifford, and I just saw how Ronda got demolished with clean striking. I’ve improved so much and I think I showed that in the fight with Holly, being able to stand in there and not only with a world champion boxer but also a multiple time world champion kickboxers. She is phenomenal in that area and I really think I showed how much I improved.”
