According to the UFC, the recent pay-per-view featuring Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor is on a record-breaking pace.

The promotion sent out a press release stating that UFC 196 had the highest digital PPV sales of all time, along with a setting a new record for the UFC Embedded series with 4.9 million views.

While no official numbers were revealed, UFC president Dana White recently stated during an interview that the PPV sold 1.5 million buys, allowing it to surpass the 1.6 million purchases of UFC 100 due to the cost increase.

Along with Diaz submitting Conor McGregor in the main event from MGM Grand Garden Arena, Miesha Tate became the new UFC female bantamweight champion with a fifth round submission vs. Holly Holm.

The live gate for the March 5 card was announced at $8.1 million with an attendance of 14,898
