Due to the success of UFC 196, which is believed to have drawn in the neighborhood of 1.5 million buys on pay-per-view, UFC is looking at putting together an immediate rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz for their landmark UFC 200 event in July.

According to a new MMAFighting.com report, UFC is close to finalizing a deal to announce a welterweight rematch between McGregor and Diaz as one of the main events for their historic UFC 200 show.

McGregor lost his first ever UFC fight to Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this month, as he tapped out to a rear-naked choke in the second round, giving Diaz the biggest victory of his MMA career.

Also rumored for UFC 200 thus far is Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne and Gegard Mousasi vs. Derek Brunson.

UFC 200 is scheduled to take place from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
