The Octagon is expected to return to Atlanta this July, bringing Robbie Lawler and his welterweight title with him.

According to a report on “UFC Tonight,” Lawler will defend his title against top challenger Tyron Woodley at UFC 201. The event would take place July 30 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, giving the month two mega pay-per-view cards.

Lawler (27-10) has defended the title twice since besting Johny Hendricks for it, defeating Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit. Overall, “Ruthless” is 12-4 during multiple stints with the promotion.

Woodley (15-3) has posted a 5-2 record inside the Octagon, including a win over Condit. The former University of Missouri wrestling standout has not fought since a win at UFC 183 over Kelvin Gastelum. A scheduled No. 1 contender match with Hendricks was cancelled after “Bigg Rigg” failed to make weight and was hospitalized.

The UFC last held an event in Atlanta in 2012, as Jon Jones defended his light heavyweight title over Rashad Evans.
