Go Shiozaki officially rejoins NOAH and the next GHC Heavyweight match is set.

Shiozaki acknowledged the upload battle that he faced when he left All Japan last September and returned to his the ring of his original home of NOAH. That the fans did not immediately take to his decision to return so sudden, but with the on-going Suzuki-gun war the fans have slowly gotten behind anyone to trump the oppressive invaders. Following his defense over Shelton X Benjamin on 6/12, Shiozaki stated that he wants to be known as a NOAH wrestler once more. Which led to Marufuji being the first to welcome him home. Today though it is official as he has signed his contract to be once more under the promotion.

Marufuji has put his full faith in Shiozaki as the "protector of NOAH as the reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion." Shiozaki stated that he only plans to become stronger and will do what he must to maintain the respect and admiration that the late Mitsuharu Misawa wanted for his promotion.

It was then announced that Shiozaki's next defense will be against Takashi Sugiura on July 30 at the Korakuen Hall. Shiozaki originally won the belt against Sugiura back on May 28 in Osaka, but Sugiura has taken it upon himself to position himself in a rematch for the belt. That he will do his best to "protect the GHC" as well as to give much support to his local home area of Kumamoto who are struggling from earthquake damage. That every defense of the belt will be for Kumamoto. As the reconstruction of Kumamoto is underway so much so he wants to see NOAH being built back up as well.
