Remember when the MMA world was abuzz over Georges St-Pierre vs. BJ Penn?

Well, “The Prodigy” wants to re-create that magic.

With GSP mentioning the possibility of a return, and even stating he could cut down to lightweight if he wanted to, Penn took the opportunity to throw his name in the hat to be his opponent.

Hey georgesStPierre if you can make 155 easily, I'm free in November and would love the opportunity to fight you at 155 pounds in New York.

The two met for the first time back in 2006, with St-Pierre claiming a split decision at UFC 58: USA vs. Canada. The rematch went down three years later at UFC 94, as St-Pierre won via corner stoppage after the fourth round. Both men were champions at that time, with GSP holding the welterweight belt and Penn the lightweight title.
