Miz is on the announce table and he welcomes everyone to the 98th day of the Miz' Intercontiental Title World Tour. He says it is entertaining, captivating, and must see. You are going to see a massive battle royal to determine the number one contender for his title at Battleground. From the bottom of his heart, he wants to wish everyone luck because it does not matter. He will win at Battleground.

The bell rings and people pair off. Doph Ziggler is on the apron and Viktor punches Bo. Konnor with a punch to Truth. Swagger punches Corbin while Gotch works over Ziggler. Gotch and English go after Goldust and English is eliminated. We see Bob Backlund watching from ringside so Darren Young is involved. Darren is being lifted by Bubba Ray Dudley for a suplex but he stays in the ring. Konnor is eliminated. Gotch is sent to the apron by Axel and Bubba. Truth punches Del Rio while D-Von punches Gotch. Axel is sent to the apron by Bubba and D-Von knocks him off the apron to eliminate him.

Ziggler chokes Del Rio while Truth punches Corbin. D-Von is put on the turnbuckles and Truth is eliminated by Corbin. Viktor punches Corbin and Viktor is sent to the apron and he is punched off the apron to the floor and he is eliminated. Jimmy teases eliminating Jey and that allows them to take care of D-Von.

We go to commercial.

We are back and things look a little clearer in the ring due to commercial eliminations. We see Simon Gotch eliminated by Dolph Ziggler and Jey Uso by Bubba Ray Dudley.

Ziggler is sent to the apron by Corbin. Goldust punches Del Rio. Goldust is sent to the apron by Del Rio. Del Rio with an enzuigiri to eliminate Goldust. Bo with a side head lock to Crews but Crews eliminates Bo. Crews tries to stop Corbin from helping Bubba eliminate Del Rio. Jimmy is eliminated by Corbin. Swagger is eliminated by Corbin as well.

We are down to Baron Corbin, Darren Young, Dolph Ziggler, Bubba Ray Dudley, Apollo Crews, and Alberto Del Rio.

Bubba punches Young on the turnbuckles and Young hangs on to teh ropes. Crews with a cross body to Del Rio. Corbin with a boot to Bubba and Young with a forearm to Bubba and he eliminates Bubba. Corbin with Deep Six to Young. Del Rio wtih an enzuigiri to Corbin. Del Rio misses the enzuigiri on Ziggler and Ziggler with a Fameasser. Ziggler sends Del Rio to the apron. Del Rio with a divorce court and a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster. Del Rio goes through the ropes to the apron and Ziggler with a super kick to send Del Rio to the floor, so he is not eliminated. Ziggler is dropped on the turnbuckles.

Corbin punches Del Rio while Del Rio hits a double stomp on Crews. Crews eliminates Del Rio. Ziggler with a super kick and then Ziggler clotheslines Corbin and both men go to the apron. Backlund watches intently from the floor. Ziggler punches Corbin and head butts him. Ziggler is grabbed by Corbin and thrown over the top rope to eliminate him. Crews goes after Corbin but Corbin with an elbow. Crews and Corbin are both eliminated at the same time.

Winner: Darren Young

After the match
Young leaps into Bob Backlund's arms.


We see the New Day freaking out as they see the sights of the Wyatt Family on their compound.

Backstage:
We are back and Shane and Stephanie are having some small talk in the office before Stephanie asks why dad is coming tonight. Shane says with Smackdown going live and the draft, but it is not that. Maybe he is here to talk about Brock Lesnar. Maybe he is here to talk about Mr. Robot. Maybe he is here to fire someone.

Stephanie says maybe he is here to give someone a promotion.

Seth says Vince is here to see him. He says he is the face of the future and the number one draft pick. Seth says he knows they don't want him to talk about Roman Reigns, but he has footage for everyone to see.

Shane says that is perfect for the Ambrose Asylum and Stephanie does not like that idea.

Seth says he has some talk show history and he almost replaced Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. He suggests the Rollins Report. He says Roman does not care what people think about him. He says it will be great.

Seth leaves and Shane says it is all on her.


We take a look back at photos of Brock Lesnar's victory over Mark Hunt.

Brock was asked about facing Randy Orton and he says that he does what he wants to do. He says his future is laid out since he will be facing Randy Orton.

Backstage:
Zack Ryder walks in the back and he stops Rusev to tell him he had to prove himself and challenge Rusev on Raw. He makes the challenge.

Ryder is attacked from behind by Sheamus. He tells Ryder if he wants a match, he has one against him and it is next. Rusev and Lana walk over Ryder.

Sheamus vs Zack Ryder

Ryder with a double leg take down and punches. Ryder wtih a clothesline that sends both men over the top rope to the floor. Ryder with a punch but Sheamus sends Ryder into the ringside barrier. Sheamus rolls Ryder back in but Ryder with a baseball slide and drop kick off the apron. Sheamus begs for mercy but Ryder with a boot and forearms. Sheamus with a clothesline. Sheamus misses a shoulder into the corner and Ryder with a running boot for a near fall. Ryder goes up top but Sheamus crotches Ryder. Sheamus with a Brogue Kick for the three count.

Winner: Sheamus

After the match
Rusev makes his way to the ring and Sheamus leaves.

Ryder with forearms to Rusev but Rusev with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and a round kick to the head. Rusev applies the Accolade and he leans back. Rusev screams that he accepts Ryder's challenge.

We are back with a look at Tyler Breeze and Fandango confronting the Lucha Dragons during the Raw Kick Off Show.


Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs Kalisto and Sin Cara

Fandango and Cara start things off and Fandango with a side head lock and an arm drag. Fandango dances and then he mocks Cara's gesture. Cara mocks the Fandango dance and Fandango with a side head lock. Cara with a shoulder tackle. Cara with a head scissors. Breeze tags in and Cara chops Breeze. Cara with a drop kick and then Fandango tags in and hits a boot for a near fall. Fandango punches Cara and tags in Breeze who kicks Cara. Fandango tags back in and Fandango with a snap mare and reverse chin lock. Fandango with punches but Cara tries to fight out of the corner. Cara with a quebrada and both men are down.

Breeze and Kalisto tag in and Kalisto slips on the ropes and falls. Kalisto with a springboard cross body and a spinning back heel kick and spike rana. Kalisto with a jumping round kick that sends Fandango to the floor. Breeze avoids Salida Del Sol and Cara with a splash onto Fandango. Breeze with a rollup on Kalisto followed by a super kick in the corner and he gets the three count.

We are back and it is time for Seth Rollins and the Rollins Report.

Seth says he hopes everyone is ready because he has a scoop for everyone. He tells Anderson Cooper and Bill O'Reilly to watch out and he tells Jon Stewart to stay retired because he is the hottest investigative reporter out there.

He says he has obtained exclusive footage of a one on one sit down interview with Roman Reigns where he asks the tough questions.

We go to Seth 'interviewing' Roman earlier today. He asks Roman if he is disappointed that the WWE Universe knows that he is a liar, a cheater, and a disgrace. Roman says he is here to represent his family and the company. He is not here for second place. Seth says he expected Roman to show some remorse, but he appears proud of what he did.

Roman laughs and he says he went all in and it is what it is.

Seth asks Roman if he should be in the Triple Threat Match at Battleground and Roman says no. He is asked if he will be a terrible role model and he says he will do it as long as he has breath in his lungs.

Seth asks Roman how he feels about Dean Ambrose as WWE Champion. Roman says the majority of him wants to puke.

Seth says this proves that Roman shouldn't be in the match at Battleground and he deserves a one on one match.

Dean Ambrose's music plays and he makes his way to the ring while JBL wonders how can Dean do this.

Dean tells Seth that was good and he liked that Seth pulled the stick out of his butt to have some fun.

Seth says that Dean's championship reign is a joke to him. He says Dean snuck up and stole the title from him at Money in the Bank. Seth says that Dean stole his life. He calls Dean a coward and says he cannot beat him one on one. Seth reminds Dean he held the title the entire year and Dean tried and tried and tried to take the title from him and he failed. No one could beat him for that title. You are afraid and now you won't give him the one on one rematch. You would rather have Roman to team up on him and then sneak up and take the title from Roman. You can have your plan all you want. It will be about what it has always been about. It will be about who is the best. Who is the best member of the Shield. At Battleground, he will prove what he has known all along. He was better before the Shield, he was better during the Shield, and he will prove that he is better when they meet at Battleground. He says he will stomp on Dean's dreams and take back his title at Battleground.

Dean says he likes to have fun and have a good time because he is on top of the world. It is sweet and he proved that he is more than a joke or utility guy. When the smoke cleared at the end of the day, he was still here. He is the backbone of this industry and everyone knows it. It is fun.

Dean says Seth knows what kind of person he is and how many buckets of blood he has spilled and how many body parts he has lost. He says Seth knows how many miles of crap he has crawled through. If he went through all of that to get here, how far will he go to keep it. Whoever wants to take this will have to pry it from his cold, dead hands. It is not going to happen at Battleground. He says that Seth embarasses him. If Seth wants a one on one match, he says any time and any place.

Seth says Detroit is as good a place as any . . . but not tonight. He says he will see Dean next week and they will do it on his time.


We see some more clips from The New Day's visit to the Wyatt Family Compound. We will see the whole thing later.

We are back and next week Dean Ambrose will face Seth Rollins for the WWE Title.

Sami Zayn makes his way to the ringside area to do commentary for the next match.

Kevin Owens is in the back but he says he will not go out there because it is an unsafe working environment due to Sami Zayn.

Stephanie comes out and tells the officials to remove Zayn from ringside.

Kevin thanks Stephanie and he makes his way to the ring.

Sami says that Shane gave him clearance to be out on commentary.

Sami reluctantly goes to the back and Owens waves at Zayn and Zayn gets in a few shots on Owens to prove that Kevin was right about this being an unsafe work environment due to Zayn.

A limo arrives at the arena and it is Vince McMahon.

Renee asks Vince why is he here. Vince says he is here to smell that Detroit fresh air . . . and to name the new COO of Smackdown Live. He is here to name the commissioner of Smackdown Live. Vince says no one is aware of his decision. Vince says he doesn't even know and he might change his mind. He says he will march everyone out to the ring tonight.

Kevin Owens vs Cesaro

Owens backs into the ropes and he asks the referee to back Cesaro up. Owens with a side head lock and Cesaro escapes and hits a dead lift side salto while Owens demands to be let down. Cesaro with a side head lock and Owens with a forearm. Owens holds on to a side head lock when Cesaro tries to send him off the ropes. Owens with a shoulder tackle but Cesaro with a rana. Cesaro with a double leg take down but Owens gets to the ropes and the floor. Cesaro with a cannonball off the apron and he sets for a running European uppercut but Owens moves and Owens super kicks Cesaro over the ringside barrier and into Yeatonville.

Owens breaks the referee's count and Owens gets Cesaro and rolls him into the ring. Owens with a back senton and he gets a near fall. Owens with a boot but Cesaro with punches. Owens with a kick and he sets for a suplex and Cesaro blocks it and he gets Owens up for a suplex. Cesaro with a running European uppercut. Cesaro with an Irish whip and European uppercut. Owens has a super kick blocked and Cesaro wtih a European uppercut. Cesaro goes to the apron and Owens knocks Cesaro off the apron to the floor

We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens with a revers chin lock since he is the Chin Lock Master. Cesaro wtih elbows but Owens with a neck breaker onto the knee for a near fall. Owens with a clothesline in the corner and then he misses a cannonball when Cesaro moves. Cesaro with European uppercuts until the referee gets close to the five count and Cesaro with one more European uppercut for a near fall. Owens holds on to the ropes and Owens with a thumb to the eyes when the referee was out of position. Owens tries for the pop up power bomb but Cesaro leaps over Owens. Cesaro with a springboard corkscrew European uppercut for a near fall.

Owens goes to the floor and Cesaro puts on JBL's hat and hits a running European uppercut against the ringside barrier and then Cesaro with a cross body while Cesaro wonders if there are any Swiss cowboys since he thought they only yodeled. Owens kicks Cesaro away and Owens goes for a tornado DDT but Cesaro catches Owens and puts him on the turnbuckles for a drop kick. Owens crotches Cesaro on the turnbuckles and Owens with a Burning Hammer into a TKO for the three count.

Winner: Kevin Owens

After the match
Owens gets on the headset and he is attacked by Sami Zayn. Zayn sends Owens into the announce table and then into the ring, but the official keeps Zayn out of the ring.

Owens turns around and Cesaro with a double leg take down and Giant Swing on Owens.


Backstage
AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are stopped by Renee Young.

Karl says Enzo and Cass are in trouble if Renee wants his Unfiltered opinion.

AJ says that John Cena is not even here tonight because he is at rehearsal for the ESPYs. They say they would never do that to the other guys. AJ says they should crash the ESPYs and . . .

BEAT UP JOHN CENA

We are back and Heath Slater was in the Goldman Box to talk about how Titus O'Neil let down the country on The Fourth of July and his kids on Father's Day. Bo mentions today is National Blueberry Muffin Day and Curtis says a lot of bakers will be disappointed.


Heath Slater (with Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) vs Titus O'Neil

Slater with a chop and he celebrates what he did. Titus sends Slater into the turnbuckles and chops him. Titus with another chop to Slater and Slater appears to have had enough. Titus tosses Slater across the ring. Slater with an elbow and boots to a charging Titus. Slater with kicks to Titus and the referee warns Slater. Slater with more kicks.

Bo calls for the Bo Train and Slater does it in the ring. Titus blocks a kick but Slater with a DDT for a near fall. Slater tries to pull Titus into the corner but Titus sends Slater across the ring. Slater goes for a DDT but Titus throws Slater across the ring and hits a shoulder tackle and clothesline. Titus runs into a boot and Slater goes off the turnbuckles and Titus catches him and hits three back breakers before tossing Slater aside. Titus with a bark and splash followed by Clash of the Titus for the three count.

Winner: Titus O'Neil


Backstage:
Renee Young is in the interview area with Sasha Banks and she asks Sasha about her match against Dana Brooke. Sasha says all she could think about on Friday was hitting Dana with the Banks Statement. People on Saturday were telling her to shut Dana up. Sasha says that the only thing she can focus on is Dana and the title around Charlotte's waist. She does not get mad, tonight, she gets real.

We see more footage from The Wyatt Family and New Day. The confrontation is next.

We are back and Bob Backlund and Darren Young will be on MizTV.

We go back to last week's Raw to see the acceptance of the challenge to come to the Wyatt Family Compound.

We go to the compound and they are greeted by a woman in a sheep mask and a sea of car headlights. Someone hits their truck and it is Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

They fight by the truck and Big E fights off Strowman until Rowan hits Big E from behind. Rowan with a spinebuster to Kofi.

Woods hides behind a tree but Wyatt finds him and he punches Woods and carries him away. Big E stops Rowan from his attack on Kofi but Strowman gets involved. Strowman charges at Big E but misses and hits the truck.

Wyatt returns and he drops Woods.

Strowman, Rowan, and Wyatt work over Big E and then they turn their attention to Kofi. Strowman gets on top of the truck and Woods tries to stop Rowan and Wyatt. Woods hits Strowman with a bucket while Kofi battles wtih Bray. Kofi is put in the car and Bray destroys the window.

Woods attacks Wyatt and comes off the car. Big E, Kofi, and Woods make their move on Wyatt but Bray laughs.

Strowman and Rowan emerge from among the people at the trucks and the fireflies appear.

Bray tells them to Follow the Buzzards.


We go to the announcers and they talk about what they just saw.

Colin says everybody on this roster is gunning for John Cena's spot. He wants John's spot. Enzo wants his spot. You want his spot. The difference is that if they are going to take his spot and knock John off that mountain, they are going to earn it. As for you three, you come out here week after week after week and BEAT UP JOHN CENA and use the numbers game to take him out of the equation.

Enzo says they have no backbone.

Colin says it is only a matter of time before you try to take out him and Enzo. Instead of sitting back and waiting, they stepped up and joined the fight.

AJ says that was a real cute story. Like he said earlier, John Cena isn't here tonight. You know why? Because he don't care about you. This is his final warning. Turn and walk away because once you step into this ring, his boys are going to drop you where you stand.

Enzo says the only place they are walking is into that ring right now.

Colin says they will prove there is only one word to describe them.


Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (with AJ Styles)

The match is joined in progress and Enzo with a side head lock and snap mare but Anderson with a hammer lock into a wrist lock. Enzo uses the ropes to reverse the wrist lock. Anderson punches Enzo in the corner. Anderson with an Irish whip but Enzo with a rollup for a near fall. Enzo with a back slide for a near fall. Enzo with a side head lock take down. Gallows tags in and he punches Enzo. Gallows with a hard Irish whip and head butt. Gallows with an uppercut and Anderson tags in. Anderson with a side head lock. Colin tags in and slams Anderson and then he slams Enzo onto Anderson.

Colin with chops to Anderson. Enzo tags in and he is thrown into Anderson and goes to the apron. Anderson runs into a shoudler and flips into the ring. Gallows tags in and kicks Enzo when he goes for an O'Connor Roll. Enzo is sent shoulder first into the ring post and he goes to the floor while AJ yells at him for sleeping on the job.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Anderson with a side head lock and clothesline to Enzo for a near fall. Anderson wtih a kick in the corner and he tags in Gallows. Gallows with a splash into the corner and he gets a near fall. Enzo escapes a slam attempt and he connects with a forearm to Anderson. Gallows stops Enzo from making the tag and Gallows runs Enzo into the corner. Enzo is caught by Gallows but Enzo with a DDT and both men are down.

Colin and Anderson tag in and Colin with a shoudler tackle and clothesline followed by a slam and leaping elbow drop. Colin with a fallaway slam and Stinger Splash and boot to the head. Enzo tags in and he goes up top for the Rocket Launcher but Enzo cannot take advantage. Styles send Colin to the floor and sends him into the crowd as Enzo gets a near fall. The referee calls for the bell.

Winners: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (by disqualification)

After the match
AJ, Anderson, and Gallows surround Enzo and then John Cena's music plays while they stand around. Cena comes to the ring and Colin returns to the ring. Styles, Gallows, and Anderson are sent to the floor.


The announcers talk about what you can see on the WWE Network on Wednesday night.

Dana Brooke (with Charlotte) vs Sasha Banks

Sasha with a punch to Dana and she has something to say to Dana but Dana goes to the floor. Dana goes to the apron and the referee tells Sasha to let her into the ring. Sasha with a waist lock but she backs Sasha into the corner and calls her a chihuahua. Sasha with a slap. Sasha with a double knee drop and she gets a near fall. Dana with a wrist lock but Sasha with an arm drag using the ropes. Dana grabs Sasha by the hair and sends her to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Dana with a snap mare and rear chin lock. Sasha sends Dana into the ropes. Dana refuses to be Irish whipped so Sasha with a boot to the head. Dana with a side slam for a near fall. Dana sends Sasha into the turnbuckles and she connects with shoulders. Dana with a forearm and a handstand choke. Sasha with an elbow. Dana with shoudlers in the corner. Dana gets a near fall. Dana with a reverse chin lock. Sasha with an arm drag but Dana with a boot to the head. Dana runs into a boot from Sasha and Sasha kicks Dana down. Sasha with flying forearms and a drop kick. Sasha blocks a kick and kicks Dana in the leg.

Sasha blocks a kick from Dana and puts her on the middle turnbuckle and hits a double knee drop and gets a near fall. Sasha tries to float over and Dana with a kick. Dana is sent into the turnbuckles and Sasha goes up top but Dana stops her. Dana goes for a superplex but Sasha pushes Dana off and hits a cross body for a near fall. Sasha goes for the lungblower but Dana holds on to the ropes. Dana with a Jericho pose for a near fall. Dana gets Sasha up but Sasha gets to her feet and she hits the lungblower and applies the Banks Statement. Dana tries to get to the ropes and Sasha rolls Dana back into the center of the ring and Dana taps out.

Winner: Sasha Banks

After the match
Charlotte has the mic and she congratulates Sasha. She says since you won one match with that pink and purple hair, you think you are a worthy competitor for the Women's Title. Anyone can get lucky once. Charlotte tells Sasha to face Dana on Smackdown and maybe you can get a title match. She asks Sasha if she is up for the challenge.


Backstage:
Vince McMahon is in the back

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for the announcement of the person who will lead Smackdown into the uncharted waters of Tuesday nights live. Before Vince McMahon comes out, Shane McMahon shuffles his way to the ring.

Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring.

Now it is time for Vince McMahon to make his way to the ring and Vince does the Power Walk to the ring.

Vince says Shane and Stephanie have been doing a good job. He did not think they would cooperate. Competition is good on Raw, but he is disappointed. It is like neither of you came from his loins.

Who is this sweet little girls who gets along with her brother and is passive aggressive. Who are you?

Stephanie wants the people of Detroit to tell Vince she is not sweet.

Vince says that Shane is only here because of the leap off the cell at Wrestlemania. Where is that ruthless aggression. He says he would have expected one to stab the other in the back or slit the other's throat.

Vince wants to be convinced why they should be the commissioner of Smackdown.

Stephanie mentions the launch of the WWE Network, the biggest Wrestlemania and increased revenue. Stephanie says that she watched Shane on Mick Foley's podcast. He says he left because he wasn't patted on the back enough and he said he knew more than Vince. Shane is manipulative, malicious, and maniacal. The only villain in the ring is the wolf in sheep's clothing.

Vince wants Shane to convince him.

Stephanie says the crowd chants for him because he kisses their butts.

Shane says he returned to WWE five months ago in this building and he was humbled for the reaction when he returned. He should run Smackdown because he represented change. Change is what we need and that is what he would bring to Smackdown. He would change the way things look and he would get rid of the glass ceiling because it is choking the lives out of the business. He says he is the only one in the business who tells Vince what is on his mind in a respectful way without kissing your ass. Change is in the power of your hands right here. You can make history because it is all about change and change is what is needed in the WWE. If you still have the grapefruits, pick him because we need change in the WWE.

Don't just take his word for it, so he does a survey and the crowd is obviously behind Shane.

Vince says he does not care what the people think. That is not the way to run a business.

Shane says one of you has to be named the commissioner of Smackdown Live.

Vince gets a drumroll to make the announcement.

The new Commissioner of Smackdown is Shane McMahon.

Vince says he has to curtail the celebration. He says that he is relieving Shane of his duties on Raw. The commissioner of the juggernaut and flagship Raw is Stephanie McMahon.

Vince says he wants them to compete . . . for real. He wants them to compete for ratings, social media metrics, live event attendance, merchandise. One of you might inherit the keys to the kingdom. He does not care if they break the law, as long as you don't get caught. Vince asks which of them will prove they will inherit the keys to the kingdom. He says each show needs a General Manager. Vince says each of them will name a General Manager on Raw next week or he will name one. Vince says in the end he gets what he wants. He says let the games begin.

Stephanie says she has had to work twice as hard for half the recognition. He will make sure Shane knows when she buries Shane. She says Shane will wish he was never born a McMahon or that he was never born.

Shane says that Stephanie usually hides something when she uses that venom. It isn't intensity or anger. Stephanie is scared. Shane says she will be looking up to him, like she always has.

Shane says Game On.

Stephanie says there is only one game in this business and she is married to him. Stephanie slaps Shane and then she dares Shane to slap her.

Stephanie makes sure to show how dangerous it is to walk down stairs.

Yeah, Ambrose vs Rollins for the Championship match next Monday, I do not see that happening, something will happen to stop it I think, this probably a ploy to get people on RAW to advertise Smackdown LIVE draw the next night.

I liked The New Day at the Wyatts Compound .. it was a low budget horror movie I guess TNA will say WWE copied Final Deletion with The Hardys.
