After a 7 and a half hour ride from Kentucky we finally arrived at the Harrisonburg High School, which is brand new and the most state of the art high school we had ever saw.

As excited as we were to get to see Sabu and Team 3D our excitement was a little dampered due to the news of the big snow storm riding on our heels. When we arrived we received a very nice welcome from the athletic director Joe Carrico who seemed genuinely enthused that we had driven from so far away.

We had the singing of the national anthem followed by some announcements from Hermie Sadler.

There was a short TLC match with two midgets as the weapons were made of plastic. This was a very humorous segment as Short Sleave Sampson got the win after doing the worm.

Next we have a four way x division match with Jerry Lynn., Shannon Moore, Cassidy Riley, and Sonjay Dutt. Jerry seemed to get the best reaction from the crowd and had a lot of offense early with several text buck arm drags. In the end Moore would hit a sunset flip on Lynn and held the ropes for leverage enabling Lynn from kicking out. After the match he cut a promo directed at Hermie Sadler. Hermie was standing ringside and said that Moore had cheated. He said Lynn was the loser just like Sadler was at all his NASCAR races. He also says that he had not forgot the powerbomb Sadler had given him the previous month and wanted revenge. He told Sadler to call him out anytime anywhere.

Hermie invites Maven out for an interview in his hometown. Maven comes out and grabs the mic and begins to heel out on his own home crowd. Maven says he has wrestled in 8 different countries, Australia, Japan, Toronto and had just finished filming the Surreal Life. Despite all that success he says it is the lowest point of his career wrestling in Harrisonburg. He says he works out there, grocery shops there but has no desire to entertain there. He draws a ton of heat and exits the ring.

Next we have Americas Most Wanted versus The James Gang who came out to their old outlaw music in WWE. BG James cuts the same promo they were cutting back 8 years ago. BG also referred to himself as the Road Dog and also said they were the New Age Outlaws after being introduced as the James Gang. This was a decent match with BG getting the hot tag late and Kip would have a nice offensive spurt and hit the famouser. James Storm would hit Kip in the head with a beer bottle and AMW gets the win. This was announced as a non title match.

Prime Time Elix Skipper and his partner David Young hit the ring as the Diamonds in the Rough. There opponents would be Matt Hyson (formerly known as Spike Dudley) and Ron “The Truth” Killings. Skipper would get the pin over Killings. This was a solid tag team match and it is always nice to see Spike on the card anytime.

Next we have a hardcore casket match between Abyss and Sabu. Sabu and Abyss continue to have great matches in what has turned into a very nice feud. You could tell that they had some chemistry built up between them. Sabu would do a great spot where he sat a chair in the ring, went into the ropes, jumped onto the chair and then to the top rope and over the coffin on the outside to hit Abyss on the outside of ring. Sabu would roll Abyss into the coffin after hitting an Arabian Face Buster off the top rope while using a chair under his legs.

Now we have the main event of the night. Team 3D would come out to a huge pop as we chanted EC Dub. Their opponents would be Maven and the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett. We all give Jarrett a lot of heat sometimes about being champion but I must say Jeff was very entertaining tonight and played very well off of Brother Ray. The crowd chanted “we want tables” before the match started. Eric Young from Team Canada comes out late in the match and hits Ray. Devon chases Young to the back leaving Ray to get rolled up by Maven for the pin. Ray is being beaten in the ring when Rhino hits the ring and gores Jarrett. Spike comes out and hits an Acid Drop on Maven. Ray would do a sit down powerbomb on Maven off the top rope through a table . Ray cuts a promo telling everyone to check out Against All Odds ppv on Sunday night. This was a good show that was loaded with TNA stars. The only concern for us was getting stuck in Harrisonburg and not making it back home for the PPV. We left out about 6 30 am and luckily got through the mountains in the snow and home safely.

Note: The 2/11 show in Palmyra was canceled due to the weather and rescheduled for April 15.
