Atsushi Onita announced that his retirement show will be held on October 31 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Which will also be a few days after he celebrates his 60th birthday.

Onita has already begun holding events leading into his innevitable retirement all year long. Even making his way to compete in a deathmatch the USA for the first and last time this Summer. The Korakuen Hall holds a special place for him as it is where he initially debuted back in 1974 and it will now be the place where he finally says goodbye to in-ring competition.

Onita acknowledged the numerous times that he has announced and went through with a retirement in the past, but this time he is claiming it to finally be the end all for him once and for all. Albeit for his age and remaining health.
