On Friday night in Los Angeles, Cody wrestled arguably the most impactful match of his career. He challenged IWGP heavyweight Kazuchika Okada, in the main event of an important card for the promotion.

Many are calling his match with Okada “better than expected”. The results of a recent MRI also provided Cody with some good news.

Good news: the delayed MRI on my shoulder was essentially "negative"
-grade A separation
-no surgery
-no time off??

Potential Cody vs. Kenny Omega Feud, Shows Over WM Weekend

Both nights of the NJPW Los Angeles shows featured teased dissension between Cody and Kenny Omega. The two members of Bullet Club each hold distinguished singles championships. Cody is the new ROH champion, and Omega won the inaugural IWGP US championship on Saturday. With news that Omega’s championship will be defended on ROH shows, one has to wonder if a power struggle is brewing between the two stars.

The shows this weekend were considered a huge success for NJPW. Recent rumours suggest the company is considering holding evens in New Orleans over WM33 weekend. Plans to open a Los Angeles office and dojo are also being considered.
