What Culture recently announced that they were rebranding their pro wrestling company WCPW. The new name was confirmed as ‘Defiant Wrestling’ with the official relaunch being slated for December 4th.

One US based independent company is certainly not happy with the name change. DEFY Wrestling based out of Seattle, Washington has made their displeasure public with the following tweet:

Well, for the sake of the DEFYANCE, the Wrestlers and DEFY itself, we tried but @wcpw doesn't care. They should be ashamed. – Jim Perry™

Although DEFY and the new Defiant brand operate out of two separate territories it is easy to see why the Seattle company are more than a little aggrieved with this development. DEFY has been steadily building their brand over the past few years and attract some major indie stars to their events.
