After weeks of back and forth on Twitter, Chris Jericho has appeared on New Japan Pro Wrestling at Power Struggle to confront Kenny Omega and set up a future in ring showdown.

Less than 24 hours ago, Jericho threatened to end Omega’s title reign.

Hey @KennyOmegamanX– u know I was ur boss #Gedo’s tag partner? I make 1 phone call & ur little @njpw1972 push ENDS. pic.twitter.com/AjgRPYlqzV

And before that, Jericho gave a backhanded compliment to Omega by insulting New Japan Wrestling – comparing it to minor leagues:

Your matches are incredible. Too bad nobody sees them…. #minorleagues https://t.co/Gk2fL9j6we

However, having worked in New Japan before, it’s clear that any insult to NJPW, suggesting that it’s over-rated, is tongue in cheek and being used to work the thousands of on-lookers on twitter.

Now it appears as though all the work has come to a head, and that the threat fired at Kenny Omega wasn’t empty.
