– On March 16, Hiroshi Tanahashi became the first man to advance to the finals of this year’s New Japan Cup tournament. He defeated Juice Robinson inside Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan in semi-finals action. Today, we found out who will be joining him.

In the other semi-finals match, SANADA took on Zack Sabre Jr. In the end, it was Sabre Jr. who punched his ticket to the finals. He will now face Tanahashi on March 21 to determine who will go on to Sakura Genesis on April 1. The winner of the New Japan Cup can go after any singles title of his choosing.


– Following Sakura Genesis, NJPW will begin their Wrestling Dontaku tour. The road to Wrestling Dontaku begins on April 13. There will be 14 road shows leading up to the event and NJPW World will air at least five of them. In addition to that, Wrestling Hi No Kuni takes place on April 29 as the calm before the storm. That card will also air live on NJPW World.

Wrestling Dontaku will be a two-night event. The first event takes place on May 3 and wraps up the following night. You can check out the event’s official poster below:
