Last night, in possibly the most bizarre main event in Monday Night Raw history, Matt Hardy battled Bray Wyatt in an Ultimate Deletion match.

Late last night, Hardy boasted about the success of the match:

Tonight was much more than just a professional victory on #RAW for me..

It was an ENORMOUS PERSONAL VICTORY.

I couldn't have done it without YOU, my LOYAL #WOKENWarriors..#UltimateDELETION has been the #1 WORLDWIDE TREND for OVAH an hour now..

Thank you.
Gracias.

Hardy would come out victorious in the match and pushed Bray Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation. Now Bray Wyatt has been deleted and the Woken Matt Hardy story moves into a new chapter.

Reactions to the Ultimate Deletion

Mick Foley enjoyed but was confused by the match.

I HAVE NO IDEA WTF I JUST SAW…BUT I LIKED IT!

CBS Sports anchor Nick Kostos chimed in:

I *LOVED* the #UltimateDeletion. It watched like an ultra-cinematic video game final boss fight. Almost like it was produced by Hideo Kojima. It far exceeded my expectations. Tremendous work @MATTHARDYBRAND @WWEBrayWyatt

Nick Jackson revealed plans for his own Final Deletion style match with the Hardyz:

The plan was to have a final deletion match with the Hardy’s last year but obviously plans changed. Glad they’re allowing Matt and Jeff to show how creative they are.
