The folks over at Impact Wrestling have found some success.

Since Anthem took over Impact Wrestling, many wondered what the future would hold. At first, the direction of the show seemed to be in the hands of Jeff Jarrett and Scott D’Amore. It wasn’t long before Jarrett made a second exit from the promotion.

Now, New Japan Pro Wrestling color commentator Don Calis is at the helm along with D’Amore. For the most part, Impact has held steady in the 300k range for their episodes on Pop TV. The most recent episode, however saw a sizable spike up.

The March 29 edition of the show took in 399k viewers. That’s up from the 365k number last week and it’s the most watched episode of Impact in 20 months. The promotion took to Twitter to thank fans for tuning in:

This week’s episode of Impact featured a champion vs. champion match. World champion Austin Aries took on Grand champion Matt Sydal. Both titles were on the line.

Also featured on the card was a match between two powerhouses. Former TNA World champion Lashley took on Brian Cage. In addition to that, Eddie Edwards traveled to Ohio to find oVe and Sami Callihan.
