WWE has officially announced a match that will likely end up serving as the main event for Extreme Rules.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle revealed that there will be a multi-man match to crown the new #1 contender for the Universal Title, which is currently being held by Brock Lesnar, at Extreme Rules.

Thus far, Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley have been confirmed for this match at the upcoming event. WWE will be announcing more competitors in the coming weeks.

Also, as of this writing, there is no official word on when the winner of this match will challenge Lesnar for the strap but it will likely go down on August 19th at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
