On Monday night, WWE presented Raw from Boston. Despite Brock Lesnar’s newsworthy appearance at UFC 226 with Daniel Cormier over the weekend, no mention was ever made of Lesnar on the show.

According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon gave the direction for him not to be mentioned.

“At the production meeting before Raw, McMahon told everyone that the show in Boston is to focus completely on building Extreme Rules, a show Lesnar isn’t on, so his name wasn’t to be mentioned,” the report reads.

As for when Brock will be mentioned on WWE programming again, McMahon said: “When he’s being offered to our audience and we can capitalize on it.”

WWE is continuing the angle where Brock is seen as the part-time outsider who doesn’t really care about WWE. Roman Reigns is portraying the company savior, the one who shows up every week. The idea, once again, is to get people to cheer Roman.
