– Unfortunately, Kane is out with a legitimate injury. Before they defended the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles at the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena on the WWE Network, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Kane and Daniel Bryan.

This led to Bryan starting out the match on his own only to have Kane come out with a walking boot on his left ankle. Harper and Rowan would later retain the titles. After the match, WWE issued an ‘injury update’ on Kane that stated that The Devil’s Favorite Demon suffered a broken ankle as a result of the attack. The pre-match attack was done to write him off of television.

Kane’s injury is legitimate and he was seen wearing a medical boot at campaign function earlier this week in Tennessee and backstage before Extreme Rules.

– Jeff Hardy has demanded his rematch against Shinsuke Nakamura on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live as Nakamura will defend the United States Championship against Hardy on this show. This comes off the heels of Nakamura beating Hardy in just six seconds after hitting a low blow and his finisher at Extreme Rules.

WWE is in Wilkes Barre, PA at the Mohegan Sun Arena for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. As of this writing, no other matches or segments have been announced for this show.
