Sin Cara was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama a couple of days ago and it was later confirmed that the former NXT Star has undergone a surgery.

Providing an update on his condition, WWE revealed that Cara underwent a surgery on his right knee this past Tuesday night and Dr. Jeffrey Dugas was in charge of his operation.

The Luchador apparently sensed that something was wrong with his knee sometime in the last week. Upon evaluation, it was revealed that a scar tissue was causing problems for the Masked Superstar.

After this, the doctors decided to have a surgery to remove the tissue. He was already taking physical therapy as part of his recovery process less than 24 hours after the operation as seen in the photo below:

Sin Cara last wrestled in a one on one match during the SmackDown Live Event from Albany, Georgia on August 5th. The former NXT Star had scored a victory over Aiden English in this bout.

Prior to that, he was involved in a short-lived feud with the former NXT Champion Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas. Their rivalry ended when the two faced off in the Extreme Rules kick off show.

No word yet on how long Cara will be out of action or if the company has any plans for his return but we’ll keep you posted.
