Angry Hulk Hogan Discusses WWE’s Support Of NWO Reunion, Feud With Bret Hart

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan appeared on The Apter Chat with hosts Josh Shernoff and Bill Apter to promote the NWO reunion alongside Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. They will reunite for the “2 Sweet” fan event on Oct. 27 in Orlando at Mango’s Tropical Cafe in Orlando.

The day features five events spread across Mango’s Tropical Cafe and Hogan’s Beach Shop and includes a live recording of Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson’s “83 Weeks Podcast,” a two-and-a-half hour Q&A session with Hogan, Nash & Hall and group photo ops at the end of the day.

During the podcast, which he talked about various topics, Hogan was asked about WWE supporting the reunion and even promoting it. Hogan stated that WWE is in full support of it which he thinks is a cool thing. He brought up how fans thought that WWE would be upset by using the name NWO but made it known that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was “very gracious and accommodating” and that “it’s a new day as everything is really good.”

Once Bret Hart made the jump from the WWE to WCW after the Montreal Screwjob in 1997, fans were hyped to see a feud between Hart and Hogan. However, although the promotion booked it, the feud never caught on with fans. Hogan stated that they tried and did everything they could to the point where they put the belt on Hart and Hogan put him over.

This is when Hogan got confused about the state of Hart’s career. Hogan believed that Hart wasn’t in the best physical shape back then because he thought Hart was coming off that stroke or something. To Hogan’s credit, it did note that he wasn’t sure what happened then talked about how Hart fell off his bicycle or something.

That stroke happened in 2002 and WCW was closed in 2001. Hart’s career ended in 1999 due to a head kick that caused a concussion by Goldberg.

“Maybe I’ve got my time frames confused. I can’t remember. It’s been so long. All I know is Bret came in, paid him a ton of money, did jobs for him” and more. He added that he doesn’t know what else he could’ve done but tapped out on that one.

The problem hogan has is that he lies about everything so it makes it hard for him to tell a story that actually has to follow a timeline that anyone who has even the slightest memory of real life can follow.
