ROH made the match official today.

This will be the third time the title has been defended in Ring of Honor and the second time it will be defended in Toronto.

Kenny Omega became the inaugural champion on the G1 Special in Los Angeles show on July 2nd, 2017. He defended the title a few months later on the Global Wars Chicago show on October 15th, 2017. He defeated Yoshi-Hashi on that show.

After Jay White defeated Kenny Omega at the New Beginning in Sapporo this January, he defended the title 3x before losing it to Juice Robinson in July. One of his title defenses was against Punishment Martinez at an ROH/NJPW show in Toronto. He then lost the title two months later to Robinson.

After defeated Jay White on July 7th, Juice dropped the belt to Cody at Fighting Spiriting Unleashed on September 30th. Global Wars Toronto on November 11th will be Cody’s first defense of the title.
