Major League Wrestling CEO Court Bauer took to Twitter this week to address two topics related to MLW: his relationship with Impact Wrestling and the possibility of MLW promoting its first live pay-per-view.

Apparently there have been some fans speculating that the relationship between Major League Wrestling and Impact Wrestling is strained. Both promotions have weekly national TV shows, utilize some of the same talent (Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix, Sami Callihan, etc.) and have run shows in the same venues (NYC’s Melrose Ballroom).

Bauer says it’s “beyond ridiculous” that certain fans are spreading bogus rumors that there’s heat between the two companies.

Sad to see people attempting to spread bogus rumors about @MLW/@ImpactWrestling when there are open lines of communication (hell, @sonjaydutterson owes me dinner & @Konnan5150 works for both groups). It's beyond ridiculous and I hesitated to even acknowledge it but I dislike lies

We all work together. Be it @DefyNW/@MLW coordinating flights and dates, AAA/MLW exploring talent swaps, etc. Sometimes there are conflicts and you work through them.

There is no us vs them. This is a new frontier. For it to work, we need to all cooperate which is happening.

It's crazy to see fake ass accounts spam lies for their own gratification. It's hurtful to the companies. It's hurtful to the people working hard inside the companies, it's hurtful to the talent and it could risk the fans getting the best wrestling they desire.

Don't buy into it. Don't let them disrupt this cool thing happening. The independent eco-system is still fragile but the future is very bright.

Earlier this week, FITE.TV announced that MLW’s weekly television show MLW Fusion will begin airing for free on the over-the-top streaming service.

New episodes of MLW Fusion will premiere on beIN SPORTS Friday nights at 8pm (Eastern). Those shows will continue to be uploaded to YouTube Saturday nights at 6:05pm (Eastern) and will be added to FITE.TV Tuesday nights at 8pm (Eastern).

With MLW joining the FITE family, a few fans have speculated if this is the first step towards MLW airing live pay-per-view events. Bauer says that there are currently no plans to get into the live pay-per-view game. For now, MLW will stick to what’s working for them and the fans.

Live PPV is cool… but a colossal motherfuck of a challenge do right by you guys. Lots that can go wrong and there's no undo button!

— Court Bauer (@courtbauer) October 30, 2018

We've discussed it. Lots of moving parts with live PPV. We're not quite ready for it but it's part of the game plan. When we do it, we want to give you the experience you deserve for a live PPV.

There is so much good wrestling right now. For @MLW, it's about providing you the best quality for the least amount of $ and time. Both are precious. We hope we make it count when you check us out.
