Professional wrestling is an odd beast, filled with a multitude of thinly blurred lines separating fiction and reality.

Ever since Bobby Lashley returned the day after WrestleMania, attacking Elias, a subsection of people have wondered over the possibility of Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar.

This would be a matchup that further blurs those lines into almost non-existence.

Bobby Lashley originally left WWE originally to pursue a career in MMA. This led him to fight for multiple promotions, including Strikeforce and Bellator, to name but a few.

In a bit of a harmonious parallel, Brock Lesnar also left pro wrestling to pursue success in MMA, appearing for the UFC and eventually becoming their Heavyweight champion.

And so it can be understandable when people want to see two athletes that both found success in MMA square up against one another in WWE’s own squared circle.

Lashley, speaking recently with Sports Bible, mused on the fan interest in such a showdown.

Apparently, no matter what he posts to social media, a vocal fanbase will take over the comments section with requests for the matchup to take place.

Reflecting on this, Lashley replied, “[…] I can post anything on social media and the people will reply we wanna see you and Brock. It’s something that has been building for the last 10 years, so, eventually, it’s gonna happen because the fans want it to happen that bad.”
