– As noted, Daniel Bryan is the new WWE Champion as he beat AJ Styles to win the title on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in St. Louis, MO at the Enterprise Center on the USA Network. The former WWE Champion took to his official Twitter account where he gave a statement on losing the title in the headliner of the Survivor Series go-home episode for the blue brand. In the post, he promised that he would get payback on Bryan due to the post-match heel turn attack that took place.

Styles wrote, “The thing about being a real Champion, a reigning, DEFENDING champion is that any day someone can beat you. But holding the title is more than just wins and losses, it’s about who you are as a man. Daniel showed us that last night. And the receipt is coming. #SDLive.”
