Jay Lethal has re-signed with Ring of Honor as the company approaches their final two shows of the year. Final Battle will take place in New York on December 14th. The company will then travel to Philadelphia the following day for TV tapings.

According to PW Insider, Lethal re-signed with the company recently. Although the terms of the deal aren’t known, many ROH contracts tend to start in January and end in December. Some ROH stars are known to be on different deals, however. Flip Gordon is said to be locked in for 2 years. Marty Scurll is believed to have signed an extension to his deal until April 2019 as well.

Jay Lethal is on pace to pass the most combined days spent as ROH champion record of 645 days on February 3rd, 2019. The record is currently held by Samoa Joe who held the title for 645 straight days on his only run with the belt. Lethal, who is on his second reign with the title, also needs 3 more title defenses to tie Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness’ record of 38.

Lethal will defend the title against Cody at Final Battle. Should Cody win, he is saying he’ll take the title with him into free agency.
