Over the weekend, HBO Boxing held their final production before officially shutting down the department. After decades of promoting some of the greatest fights of all time, HBO has officially exited the boxing game. Their final show was headlined by unified welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus scoring a decision victory over Aleksandra Magdziak Lopes.

The broadcast was an emotional one, with great video packages opening and closing the show. Perhaps the most emotional part of the night, however, came when it was time for broadcasters Jim Lampley, Roy Jones Jr., and Max Kellerman to sign off for the final time. Lampley’s farewell was one of the more emotional speeches. After Jones held back tears saying goodbye to the network that skyrocketed his broadcasting career, Lampley paid homage to his former colleagues who are no longer on this earth.

After listing off several prominent figures in HBO Boxing history, Lampley lastly thanked the fighters. Lampley’s respect and admiration for the titans who have battled inside the squared circle over the decades really shone through. With that, the final montage of the night played to close out the broadcast. Check out the final sign off from HBO Boxing below:
