Former WWE Champion John Cena has been a top star for the WWE for over a decade now and although his status with the company has been put as a part-timer, there are still fans who want to see him be a heel on television.

Cena recently took part in an interview with Chris Van Vliet where he talked about a wide range of topics including the possibility of a heel turn. This is where Cena explained why that won’t happen.

“There are creative feelings inside me that would like to be a bad guy on WWE but that ain’t gonna happen because that’s not my job.” Cena continued by stating that his job is to be who he is and that comes from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. He also stated that anyone in the WWE to say that he’s a part-timer and going to Hollywood, then he would agree with that mindset.

He also thinks that if they can’t see why he’s making those moves at this stage in the game of his career then that’s okay as he doesn’t expect them to do so and don’t expect them to change their minds. You can watch the full interview here:

For those who miss Cena being in action under the WWE banner, fear not as he’s set to work several dates starting on December 26th at a live event at Madison Square Garden. He’s advertised from this event through January 14th for several WWE events.
