WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has defended Baron Corbin from the criticism he has received from fans about his work as a WWE star.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion talked about Corbin during Tuesday’s Busted Open Radio show on Sirius XM where he stated that Corbin has a background just like him as both of them didn’t come from a wrestling background and didn’t know how to become a wrestler.

He brought up how not a ton of football players are lined up for pro wrestling and it’s not an easy crapshoot of let’s roll these guys from the combine and make them a wrestler.

Henry continued by stating that Corbin is someone who is athletic and passionate about being a wrestler and wanting to be good at it. He noted that Corbin didn’t want to just do it for the sake of doing it to make a dollar here. “If you look at his body of work he’s on the right path. Whether you like him or not due to the role he’s playing, that’s just tough.”

Corbin is slated to take on Braun Strowman in a TLC Match at the TLC pay-per-view event on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center that will air on the WWE Network.
