WWE ran an angle this weekend at live event that saw Charlotte Flair viciously attack Becky Lynch.

On Saturday night in Alexandria, LA, SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka was battling Flair with the strap on the line when Lynch came from out of nowhere to attack Flair. However, things didn’t go Lynch’s way as Flair landed a kick to Lynch’s knee then tied up her knee up in the ropes and continuously hitting it with a steel chair.

After the angle, WWE announced on their official website that Lynch has “re-injured” her knee after the vicious attack. This comes after WWE Chairman McMahon announced that Lynch had been suspended 60 days and replaced by Flair to challenge WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey for the strap at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce that Flair will be competing at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Although it’s unlikely that she’ll compete at this show, she has vowed to be there. Her intentions are to watch Rousey make her next title defense against Ruby Riott at this show.
