Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair took a good beating in a recent angle done in order to build towards a historic match.

The star on the blue brand sat a ringside to watch Ronda Rousey retain the WWE RAW Women’s Title over Ruby Riott at the second pay-per-view event of the new year, Elimination Chamber, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

After the match, Rousey had a stare down with Flair until Becky Lynch walked out on crutches through the crowd. Lynch then attacks Flair with one of the crutches as Rousey just watches. This led to Lynch then attacking Rousey as well with the crutch until the referees came out with security to break things up.

Flair took to social media to show off her bruise from the attack as she posted this photo on Instagram, courtesy of IWNerd.com:

As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce who Flair is slated to face at the next pay-per-view event, which will mark the final show before WrestleMania, as its Fastlane that goes down on March 10, 2019 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Flair is slate to challenge Rousey for the strap at WrestleMania 35 in April.
