We noted before how WWE was planning to follow last year’s Crown Jewel event with their next show in Saudi Arabia in early May this year.

However, a new report suggests that the company has rescheduled its return to the Middle Eastern country to June and as a result, they have canceled another PPV that was planned for the same month.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE has moved its scheduled Saudi Arabia event from May 3rd to June 7th. As a result, the company has cancelled the Backlash PPV which was scheduled for June 16th as the Officials felt that the two events were too close together.

This might explain the reason why WWE is promoting Money In The Bank as the proceeding PPV for WrestleMania 35 on May 19th, while last year it was Backlash.

Since the Saudi Arabia show hasn’t been announced officially yet it’s too early to predict a match card but similar to previous shows in the country, we can expect some big names to fly for the event.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are two of the names who are heavily rumored for the PPV and more names should be added after the official announcement.
