Michael Elgin appeared on PPV last night at Impact Wrestling Rebellion from Toronto, ON, Canada. Elgin confronted new Impact World Champion Brian Cage after Cage had just dethroned Johnny Impact for the title.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Elgin had left New Japan Pro Wrestling.

“After careful consideration and dialogue, Elgin and NJPW have mutually decided to part ways after his contract expired on March 31, 2019,” an NJPW press release regarding Elgin’s departure from the promotion reads. “We wish Michael Elgin nothing but the best in his future endeavors.”

Elgin wrestled in NJPW from 2015 to 2019. He is a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, NEVER Openweight Champion, NEVER 6-Man tag champion, and he won the New Japan Rumble in 2017.

Elgin is also a former ROH World Champion, having won the title in 2014.
