Bellator MMA is interested in potentially bringing in 205 Live Superstar “Gentleman” Jack Gallagher for a fight. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bellator has had talks about bringing Gallagher into the promotion.

“There is some interest on the Bellator side in WWE’s Jack Gallagher,” wrote Dave Meltzer. “No deal has been reached but there is talk.”

Fighting under the name Jack Claffey (real name Oliver Westfield Claffey), Gallagher has a 2-0 record as an amateur MMA fighter. He only left his MMA career to sign with WWE before 2016’s Cruiserweight Classic.

Gallagher made a small attempt to be named CM Punk’s 2nd UFC opponent. Shortly after Dana White revealed that he would be giving Punk a second shot in the octogon, Gallagher offered his services.

“Doesn’t have an opponent. I have two minutes to spare,” Gallagher wrote on Twitter.

Gallagher was later asked about fighting CM Punk in an MMA fight and offered up the following response:

“In an MMA fight? At this point that would be like bullying.”
