This Saturday night, All Elite Wrestling presents its inaugural live event, Double or Nothing, live from Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. While AEW has a long way to go before it can be considered an actual competition for WWE, many still believe that the rise of the promotion is signal to another war in the pro wrestling industry.

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T, a former world Champion who was a top star during the Monday Night War, believes another high-stakes conflict is indeed upon us.

Booker T spoke about the upstart promotion on the latest episode of his Hall Of Fame podcast. Booker says it’s not a competition in the sense that AEW is looking to build its own audience and find its own niche. However, he explained that during the Attitude Era the stars that were in WCW watched WWE and they all wanted to be better than the wrestlers of their rival promotion.

He then explained that now with AEW being on the horizon, wrestlers will have to innovate to get a crowd reaction and the former Champion then claimed that wrestling is back and the war is on.

It’s worth mentioning here that Booker T is not the only wrestler to have made such comments and AEW’s own Chris Jericho had recently claimed that the war is on whether WWE wants it or not.
