There have been lots of rumors regarding Hangman Page’s opponent for Double Or Nothing after Pac pulled out of the event and one of the most interesting names being thrown around is the former Dean Ambrose of WWE, Jon Moxley.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Moxley and he also discussed some other possible opponents for Page at the event.

It was previously said that AEW wants to bring Moxley to the promotion and Meltzer stated that the company officials remain interested in the former WWE Champion.

However, Ambrose is not expected to make his wrestling return before he finishes up his new movie dubbed Cagefighter, which he was recently signed for.

So while it’s possible that he takes a break from his movie to make a one-off appearance at Double Or Nothing, the former WWE Star making his AEW debut at the event doesn’t appear to be very likely.

Though Meltzer still believes that he will end up working with the company down the line and even though he hasn’t been announced for any show officially, it’s likely that Moxley will start working for them by the end of the year.

Regarding the talks of Joey Ryan or CM Punk showing up at the show to compete with Page, it was noted that both of them are booked elsewhere for the night so they are not expected to show up at the PPV either.

Though the company will still have to bring someone big to fill the gap left by Pac and it would be interesting to see who AEW Officials end up choosing as Hangman Page’s opponent for the show.
