Best of the Super Juniors Day 13, May 31:

A Block

Titan defeated Tiger Mask IV. Not much of a match here, with a botched finish. Very little of interest happened, Tiger hit a Tiger Driver for a near fall. Titan was making a comeback and had a pin on Tiger, which was nothing more than a transition, and the referee somehow made a three count. It looked like Tiger kicked out, but it was a mess.

SHO defeated Jonathan Gresham. This was really good. Gresham had his ribs taped up. There was lots of technical wrestling early on and Gresham went after the knee. Gresham hit a big suicide dive and a shooting star press, then went into a figure four. He brought SHO to the floor and almost got him counted out. SHO started showing his power with some lariats. SHO hit a powerbomb on the knees for a big near fall and then hit Shock Arrow for the win. This was a great match between two men that have had very good tournaments. Hopefully Gresham did enough to be brought back.

Dragon Lee defeated Marty Scurll. This was a great match. Brody King tripped Lee as he went for a dive and gave Scurll the momentum. Lee made his comeback with a lot of strikes and a very nice rana after a flip over the top rope. King got involved again and stopped Lee from hitting a double stomp. There was a terrible spot where Lee no sold an Essex Destroyer and popped up to hit a running kick. Lee it has finish, but King again got involved. This time Lee took him out with a suicide dive. Scurll hit a nice half and half suplex and Lee hit a snap German suplex. Scurll hit some very good looking lariats and a side package Piledriver, but was unable to hit Back Plague. Lee hit a series of knee strikes and his finished to pick up the win and finish with 14 point.

Shingo Takagi defeated Taiji Ishimori. This was the Block decider and it was a hell of a match. This was without a doubt the best match Ishimori has had in this tournament, which says a lot about Shingo and it was also because Ishimori slipped into the underdog role. Shingo was ran into a ringpost, and Ishimori focused his attack on the neck. Shingo dropped him on the apron with a Death Valley Driver to start building momentum, as he began using his power. He eventually hit Noshagami and Pumping Bomber, the start of his finishing sequence, but he was unable to hit Last of the Dragon. From here it was Ishimori battling from underneath. He used a crucifix bomb and a rana into a pin. He was able to withstand some shots from Shingo and hit a stiff running lariat. He hit a crazy fast Destroyer, but Shingo popped up and hit a lariat. Ishimori came close to a submission win with the LeBelle Lock, but Shingo was able to hit Last of the Dragon and win the match. He also wins the block, having gone undefeated and will face the winner of Will Ospreay vs Ryusuke in the B Block decider in a couple of days.
