CM Punk actually responded to one fan who asked Punk if he was going to let his fan base down by not signing with AEW.

Since the launch of the promotion, the former WWE Champion has been the top name that fans have speculated to think the promotion would sign. However, based on his answer, it appears that is not going to happen.

Yes.

The possibility of signing one of the biggest free agents in the pro wrestling business right now would be a great addition to the already loaded AEW roster.

Punk made headlines earlier this year when made his return to pro wrestling at an MKE independent event in Wisconsin by wearing a mask where he did a run-in during an Ace Steel vs. Daryck St. Holmes match and connecting with a GTS, which was his wrestling finisher.

AEW is slated to hold their All Out pay-per-view event on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL, which is the hometown of Punk. This marks the next big event for the promotion.
