Ring Of Honor has resigned Jonathan Gresham to a new deal.

Gresham, 31, has appeared for the promotion on numerous occasions prior to signing his first with ROH in 2017. He has been performing for the company more consistently over the past few months. Gresham has faced off against notable talent such Silas Young and Zack Sabre Jr. He has even competed in a 30-minute Iron Man match with former ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal.

It’s reported that he has moved to Baltimore to assume a more active role within the ROH Dojo—the ROH equivalent to WWE’s Performance Center.

Nicknamed “The Octopus”—thanks to his grapple heavy, mat-based offense that seems to wrap around his opponents—Gresham recently competed in NJPW.

He participated in this year’s Best Of Super Juniors, winning 4 of his matches which granted him 8 points by the end of the tournament.

With a wealth of global experience, Gresham has wrestled for numerous promotions including Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling. He even had a stint in TNA back in 2016.

It will be interesting to see how ROH utilize “The Octopus” on their roster, especially given his notable push against some of their top talent.
