Last night, UFC Newark got their main event as Colby Covington will return to the Octagon to take on Robbie Lawler. Now, the card has also gotten four more fights according to ESPN, including a pivotal light heavyweight fight.

The four fights are, Volkan Oezdemir vs. Ilir Latifi, Trevin Giles vs. Gerald Meerschaert, Antonina Shevchenko vs. Lucie Pudilova, and Darko Stosic vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu.

Oezdemir and Latifi were originally set to fight at UFC Stockholm, but Latifi had to pull out the day before weigh-ins due to a back injury. Now, the two will finally fight in August at UFC Newark. The Swiss native is on a three-fight losing streak with his last loss to Dominick Reyes. Latifi, meanwhile, last fought at UFC 232 where he lost to Corey Anderson.

In the middleweight division, Giles takes on Meerschaert. Both are coming off of losses, as Giles lost to Zak Cummings at UFC Rochester for his first pro loss. Meerschaert, meanwhile, lost to Kevin Holland at UFC Philadelphia to drop two in a row.

Shevchenko is coming off of her first loss in the UFC as she lost to Roxanne Modafferi by decision at UFC St. Petersburg. Pudilova, meanwhile, last fought back at UFC Prague where the 25-year-old lost by decision to Liz Carmouche to extend her losing streak to two.

Finally, in a battle between light heavyweights, Stosic will look to get back into the win column after losing to Devin Clark at UFC Stockholm. Nzechukwu, meanwhile, is coming off of his UFC debut loss to Paul Craig where he was winning the fight until he got caught by a submission late in the third round.
