The litigation between CM Punk and Colt Cabana is ongoing and there was a new development recently. Cabana filed suit against Punk last year (which has since been thrown out and re-filed) claiming Punk had promised to cover all legal fees relating to WWE doctor Chris Amann’s lawsuit against the pair.

According to a report from PW Insider, Punk has now filed a countersuit against Cabana for $600,000. The amount is said to be half of what Punk spent on his and Cabana’s legal defense.

Promise not to sue me for being a good friend (then sign a legally binding agreement that you’re not a greedy steaming pile of ungrateful snake shit) and I’ll consider it.

Cabana’s team contends that Punk told Cabana he would be “100% covered” for any legal ramifications. Punk allegedly said this to Cabana after they received a legal demand letter to take the episode down. Punk’s team contends that Cabana had financial motives to leave the episode published, however.

There was then said to be a falling out between the pair and Punk told Cabana he would no longer be covering his legal expenses.

Cabana is seeking $200,000 from Punk for legal fees he says he incurred. His lawsuit has been thrown out and re-filed twice.
